Global hospitality group Accor has signed an agreement with Megaworld, the Philippines’ largest township developer and operator of homegrown hotel brands, to introduce Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside, which is set to become the world’s largest Mövenpick hotel.

The landmark property will feature 1,530 keys and is scheduled to open in mid-2026, marking a major milestone in Accor’s expansion strategy in Asia and reinforcing the group’s growing presence in the premium hospitality segment.

The hotel will be located within Westside City, Megaworld’s integrated township development in Parañaque, a tourism and entertainment estate designed to combine retail, leisure, business, and hospitality offerings within Manila Bay’s emerging tourism district.

Mövenpick, a brand rooted in Swiss heritage, is known for its warm service culture and its concept of “Joyful Reconnection,” which focuses on creating meaningful moments for guests through thoughtful hospitality experiences and culinary offerings.

Upon opening, Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside will feature four dining concepts, including a Filipino specialty restaurant, an international all-day dining venue, and a signature bar. Guests will also experience Mövenpick’s signature Chocolate Hour, a daily complimentary chocolate-themed indulgence for hotel guests.

The hotel will also cater to the growing demand for meetings and events facilities in Manila, with modern and flexible indoor and outdoor event spaces designed for conferences, corporate gatherings, and social celebrations.

Andrew Langdon, Chief Development Officer for Asia at Accor, said the partnership reflects the group’s confidence in the Philippines as a fast-growing hospitality market.

“Across Asia, we continue to grow sustainably by working closely with our partners and bringing the right brand to the right market,” Langdon said. “Our partnership with Megaworld for Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside underscores our confidence in the Philippines as a rapidly expanding market for experience-driven hospitality. With rising visitor arrivals and strong domestic travel demand, this project represents an opportunity to strengthen our premium presence while contributing to the country’s tourism growth.”

Cleofe Albiso, Managing Director of Megaworld Hotels & Resorts, said the project represents a significant step in expanding the company’s global hospitality footprint.

“The opening of the world’s largest Mövenpick reflects our commitment to elevating our hospitality offerings and meeting the demands of the international market,” Albiso said. “As we transform the Grand Westside Hotel into the world’s largest Mövenpick, we also aim to generate employment opportunities, boost tourism activity, and support the continued growth of the communities around the development.”

With the addition of Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside, Accor expects to further strengthen its presence in the Philippines. By 2026, the group is projected to operate 13 hotels with more than 4,700 keys across eight brands, supported by a development pipeline of 16 additional properties nationwide.
