Solaire Resort Entertainment City, in partnership with the German Club Manila, welcomed German dignitaries and members of the media to an exclusive preview of Oktoberfest 2026, offering a first look at what has become Manila’s most anticipated celebration of Bavarian culture.

Widely regarded as Manila’s only authentic Oktoberfest and among the largest Bavarian festivals staged outside Germany, the annual event continues to strengthen Filipino-German ties through cultural exchange, gastronomy, and shared traditions.

Held at the resort’s Pool Bar and Grill overlooking Manila Bay, the preview transformed the venue into a festive Bavarian-inspired setting, showcasing the signature elements that have made Oktoberfest a fixture on Manila’s social and culinary calendar.

The program featured remarks from Eric M. Gottschalk, President of the German Club Manila, and His Excellency Dr. Andreas Pfaffernoschke, German Ambassador to the Philippines. Joining the occasion were Dominik Krause, Mayor of Munich; Dr. Jörg Lehmann, CEO of Hofbräuhaus; and Dr. Christian Scharpf, Head of the Munich Chamber of Commerce, underscoring the strong ties between Munich and Manila.

Sebastian Kellerhoff, Vice President for Food & Beverage and Culinary of Solaire Resort Entertainment City, shared highlights of this year’s Oktoberfest, including its culinary offerings and immersive cultural experiences.

A ceremonial toast marked the official start of the Oktoberfest season, followed by the lively Fliegerlied dance, bringing a taste of Munich’s famed Wiesn festivities to Manila. Guests later enjoyed Bavarian-inspired specialties, German beers, and sundowner cocktails against the backdrop of the Manila Bay sunset.

Through its longstanding partnership with the German Club Manila, Solaire Resort Entertainment City continues to serve as a platform for cultural exchange, celebrating the enduring friendship between the Philippines and Germany.

The main Oktoberfest celebration will take place at the Solaire Grand Ballroom from October 8 to 10, 2026. The three-day festival will feature authentic German cuisine, traditional Bavarian entertainment, performances by Bavarian Sound Express, and unlimited servings of Hofbräu beer flown in from Munich.

Guests can look forward to classic Oktoberfest favorites, including German sausages, cold cuts and cheeses, schnitzel, and apfelstrudel, all served in a lively beer hall atmosphere filled with music, dancing, and festive cheer.
