The Philippines will host MarketHub Asia 2027 marking the first time the international business-to-business conference will be staged in the country.

The hosting reflects the Philippines’ strategic push to strengthen its digital presence in the global tourism marketplace while underscoring its steady rise as a competitive MICE destination in Asia. The selection highlights the country’s growing readiness to engage in digitally driven tourism distribution and expand global partnerships.

Organized by HBX Group, MarketHub, an annual travel technology and tourism conference, connects travel suppliers and distributors through data-driven platforms and global e-commerce infrastructure.

Scheduled for the first quarter of 2027, the sixth edition of MarketHub Asia is expected to bring together around 400 global client-partners, senior decision makers, thought leaders, and digital travel innovators from 16 international source markets, including the Middle East, China, Japan, South Korea, India, Southeast Asia, and Australia.

The event is expected to generate broad economic benefits across the tourism value chain, including airlines, airports, hotels, transport providers, food and beverage enterprises, tour operators, technology partners, and local communities. Hosting MarketHub Asia 2027 reinforces the importance of a unified tourism ecosystem to support inclusive and sustainable growth.

Instrumental in bringing the event to the country is Megaworld Hotels & Resorts, which will host the conference within Megaworld’s Mactan Newtown, while conference sessions will take place at Mactan Expo Center.

MarketHub Asia has traditionally been held in globally recognized destinations, including its most recent edition in Bali. The 2027 hosting is expected to showcase the Philippines’ capability to deliver high-level international events while expanding opportunities for tourism investments and MSME participation.
