Discovery launches Flame Private Dining for bespoke celebrations

Discovery Primea’s signature restaurant, Flame, hosted an intimate luxe brunch to showcase its new private dining offerings. Perched on the 16th floor with sweeping views of Makati’s skyline, Flame welcomed select members of the media to experience how its versatile spaces can be transformed into refined venues for milestone celebrations, corporate gatherings, and intimate occasions.

The new concept caters to clients who value exclusivity and customization. Over the years, Flame has hosted private events ranging from corporate meetings and product launches to embassy receptions and personal milestones. Building on this demand, the restaurant now offers curated menus and personalized setups designed to elevate both social and business affairs.

The event offered guests a taste of what makes private dining at Flame exceptional: carefully curated menus, intuitive service, and a setting that blends the sophistication of modern dining with the warmth of Filipino hospitality. Executive Chef Luis Chikiamco designed the menu for the day, highlighting Flame’s culinary identity—a balance of global flavors, premium ingredients, and thoughtful presentation.

Flame’s private dining spaces include two wings—the Urdaneta Dining Room & Wing, a serene space bathed in natural light overlooking a private village against the city skyline, and the Ayala Dining Room, with views of the commercial center, ideal for social gatherings or professional events. These areas can be further divided for intimate functions or opened up for larger celebrations. Guests may also reserve the entire restaurant on a Buyout, including its sister venue, Flame Al Fresco, which offers panoramic views of Makati, Rockwell, and BGC—an especially stunning backdrop for evening affairs. This calls for ultimate exclusivity for milestone occasions, transforming the entire restaurant into a private haven above the city.

The newly introduced Hub serves as the highlight of Flame Private Dining. Designed for up to 10 guests, it offers a fully customized menu prepared and served by the restaurant’s chefs, led by Chef Luis. The space can also be configured for cocktail receptions, making it a versatile option for holiday parties and exclusive gatherings.

At the launch, Executive Chef Luis presented the brunch menu, offering a preview of Flame’s private dining selections. The meal began with a Burrata Salad made with locally sourced cheese, cherry tomatoes, mixed greens, honey-lemon vinaigrette, and balsamic reduction. For the mains, guests chose between Flame’s Eggs Benedict—served on an English muffin with Spanish sweet pepper, pico de gallo, Serrano ham, sous-vide egg, and a Hollandaise-Basque ketchup sauce—or Steak and Eggs, featuring grilled Canadian striploin with truffle potato purée, oyster mushrooms, and beef reduction. The brunch concluded with a decadent Chocolate Hazelnut Cake paired with ginger ice cream.

While the brunch highlighted Flame’s private dining possibilities, the restaurant continues to welcome regular diners daily. Guests may still enjoy Flame’s signature dishes, city views, and refined service on both casual visits and special nights out—the private dining program simply adds another layer of exclusivity for those who wish to celebrate more intimately.
