CEBU CITY, Philippines — NUSTAR Hotel Cebu, the country’s first all-Filipino ultra-luxury hotel brand, has been officially included in the Michelin Guide Hotel List, marking a significant milestone for Philippine hospitality.

The recognition places NUSTAR Hotel among the world’s top accommodations, cited for its architectural excellence, distinct character, and authentic service. Located within the NUSTAR Resort and Casino complex along South Road Properties, the hotel was designed by HKS Singapore and pays tribute to Cebu’s maritime heritage.

The 223-room property combines refined Filipino design with modern comforts, featuring interiors inspired by the natural beauty of the island. All guests receive full butler service, provided by staff trained by global hospitality specialist Heilbron Hospitality.

The Michelin Guide evaluates hotels based on five criteria: architectural and interior design, quality and consistency of service, personality and character, value for price, and contribution to the destination.

NUSTAR Hotel Cebu is the second hotel to open at NUSTAR Resort and Casino, following Fili Hotel in 2022, and serves as the flagship of Universal Hotels and Resorts Inc., the hospitality arm of JG Summit Holdings Inc.
