A ceremonial ribbon-cutting officially launched the exhibit, led by Elizabeth Sy, President of SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation; Peggy Angeles, Executive Vice President of SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation; guest of honor Brigido Simon Jr., Lucky Ou, Director of Operations at Conrad Manila; and featured artist Coeli Manese.

Conrad Manila proudly unveils the 36th edition of its acclaimed Of Art and Wine series with the opening of “The Light That Never Goes Out,” a solo exhibit by abstract expressionist Coeli Manese. In collaboration with Space Alt, the exhibit runs from July 15 to September 13, 2025, offering guests an immersive experience of reflection and reconnection through vibrant colors, textures, and light.“Coeli’s abstract works reflect the bold, intuitive, and meaningful design philosophy of Conrad Manila. Her ability to translate inner emotion into visual artistry invites a deep and thoughtful connection, which we believe resonates with our guests,” said Fabio Berto, General Manager of Conrad Manila. “With The Light That Never Goes Out, we continue to celebrate contemporary Filipino talent within a space that inspires reflection and meaningful conversations.”

The exhibit features three distinct themes: Eternal Light, symbolizing enduring presence beyond the visible; Inner Illumination, capturing personal transformation; and Resilient Hope, representing the quiet strength of faith over adversity. Coeli Manese uses mixed media with symbolic colors — Payne’s grey for wisdom, turquoise for healing, and burnt sienna for humility — to evoke introspection and spiritual awakening.“This collection is a deeply personal journey of faith, resilience, and creative renewal,” shared Manese. “Through symbolic colors and textured layers, I hope to evoke peace and connection, encouraging every viewer to find their own light and hope.”

The exhibit is open to the public until September 13, 2025, at Gallery C, Level 3, Conrad Manila, with artworks available for acquisition. Art-Inspired Afternoon Tea at C Lounge

In celebration of the exhibit, C Lounge at Conrad Manila offers an exclusive Art-Inspired Afternoon Tea Experience from July 15 to September 13, 2025. Guests can enjoy artful savory and sweet treats inspired by Manese’s signature textures and colors, such as smoked duck on rye with truffle cream, seared tuna with yuzu aioli, ashen sesame financier, and burnt vanilla panna cotta.

Available for two persons, the afternoon tea includes welcome drinks and a pot of tea or coffee. For reservations, contact +632 8833 9999 or email MNLMB.FB@ConradHotels.com.
