Ascott Makati welcomes a new season with the latest edition of Ascott Soirée, the global brand campaign that curates immersive experiences celebrating the many expressions of fine living.

“At Ascott Makati, we don’t just offer fine living—we celebrate the many ways it can be experienced through art, fashion, food, culture, music, and more. This is reflected in our global tagline, Savor the Art of Fine Living,” shares General Manager Cecille Teodoro.

Beginning this April, the luxury serviced residence introduces a collection of tea-inspired experiences and gourmet offerings that highlight how tea can elevate everyday moments into something truly special.

At the heart of the campaign is a collaboration between Ascott Makati and Mesclun Restaurant + Café for the specially curated Ascott Afternoon Tea. Created by Chef Katrina Kuhn-Alcantara, the menu features a refined selection of signature favorites and new creations, including Mushroom and Spinach Empanaditas, Grilled Vegetable Sourdough, Cucumber Tea Sandwiches, Bonbons, and Carrot Cake.

Perfectly paired with the menu are custom tea blends developed with René McHugh-Rodrigo, owner and herbalist of Apothecary.

“Food and tea are equal components of any Afternoon Tea, so it was important for us to create a pairing that is harmonious. We worked closely with René to develop blends that are not only refreshing but also beneficial for the body. We wanted the entire experience to feel intentionally nourishing and comforting,” shares Chef Katrina.

Guests may choose from two distinctive tea blends: Glow Citrus & Mint Blend, a bright infusion of lemon, globe amaranth, and peppermint, crafted to promote relaxation and support digestion; and Warm Cinnamon & Spice Blend, a comforting blend of ginger, cinnamon, and white fennel, known to support gut health, digestion, and metabolism.

The Ascott Afternoon Tea is available at Mesclun Restaurant + Café until June 30, 2026, from 12:00 noon onwards.

To launch the offering, Ascott Makati hosted an intimate tea soirée attended by members of the media and in-house guests. Attendees were among the first to experience the Afternoon Tea, with Chef Katrina personally presenting the curated selection. The event also featured a tea blending workshop led by René McHugh-Rodrigo, offering guests a deeper appreciation of the art of tea.

Completing the experience, guests received bespoke artworks by tea artists Esang Ocampo and Rens Tuzon, who use tea as their painting medium—showcasing its creativity and versatility beyond the cup.

In line with its celebration of tea as an artful way of living, Ascott Makati will also roll out a series of wellness activities and tea-centered workshops. Open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis, these sessions invite guests to explore tea through mindful rituals, wellness, and creative expression. Updates and registration details will be announced via Ascott Makati’s official Facebook and Instagram pages, @ascottmakatiph.
