ANA InterContinental Tokyo celebrates 70 years of Japan-Philippines Friendship with special Filipino Buffet Festival

— In celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Normalization of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and the Philippines, ANA InterContinental Tokyo presents a limited-time Filipino culinary showcase at Cascade Café,honoring the rich cultural ties and enduring friendship between the two nations.

Running from June 15 to 30, 2026, the special buffet promotion forms part of the commemorative Japan–Philippines Friendship Year celebrations under the theme, “Weaving the Future Together: Peace, Prosperity, Possibilities.” The dining experience is supported by the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Japan and highlights the vibrant flavors, traditions, and culinary heritage of the Philippines alongside Cascade Café’s international buffet selections.

Held at Cascade Café on the hotel’s second floor, guests can indulge in an extensive spread of beloved Filipino dishes prepared with both authenticity and contemporary flair. Featured dishes include Pork Belly Adobo, Beef Kaldereta, Chicken Inasal, Bicol Express, Seafood Escabeche, Pancit Guisado, Laing with Shirasu, and Milkfish with Salsa, among many others. Traditional favorites such as Sinigang na Hipon and Albondigas Soup will also rotate daily.

The buffet also showcases Filipino-inspired appetizers including Kilawin Ceviche, Ensaladang Talong, Crab and Mango Salad, and Okoy Fritters, offering diners a flavorful journey through the diverse culinary landscape of the Philippines.

The buffet is priced at ¥8,400 for adults and ¥4,200 for children on weekdays, and ¥9,800 for adults and ¥4,900 for children on weekends and holidays. Seating is limited to 90 minutes during lunch and two hours during dinner. Prices are inclusive of consumption tax and service charge.

The year 2026 marks a historic milestone for Japan and the Philippines as both nations commemorate seven decades since the normalization of diplomatic relations on July 23, 1956. Celebrations throughout the year aim to highlight the deep people-to-people connections and shared aspirations between the two countries. The official commemorative logo, created by Filipino artist Edmon Fuerte, features intertwined Japanese Shimenawa and Filipino Abaca ropes, symbolizing unity, resilience, and enduring friendship.

Through this special gastronomic collaboration, ANA InterContinental Tokyo invites guests to experience the warmth of Filipino hospitality and celebrate the enduring friendship between Japan and the Philippines through food, culture, and shared traditions.
