NUSTAR Resort turns connections into creativity

What happens when corporate and MICE partners put aside business conversations and pick up a paintbrush instead?

For NUSTAR Resort Cebu, the answer is Canvas & Connections—an experiential client engagement initiative that brings together creativity, conversation, and hospitality in a setting designed to foster more meaningful relationships.

The resort recently hosted the third edition of Canvas & Connections for a select group of Manila-based corporate and MICE partners, offering an engaging alternative to the traditional business lunch or dinner.

Held at The Cork Elite in Bonifacio Global City, the gathering combined networking with a guided painting session, giving guests an opportunity to relax, explore their creativity, and connect with one another in a more informal and personal setting.

The activity was conducted in partnership with Studio Sakura, a creative lifestyle studio known for professionally guided painting workshops designed to make art accessible and enjoyable for both beginners and seasoned enthusiasts.

And perhaps that is what made the experience particularly memorable: everyone started with a blank canvas, but each participant walked away with something distinctly their own.

For NUSTAR, the initiative forms part of its second-quarter MICE campaign for Manila-based accounts and the continuing rollout of NUSTAR Signature Experience, its curated client engagement platform designed to create meaningful touchpoints with corporate and MICE partners through lifestyle, cultural, and networking experiences.

The initiative was spearheaded by Cristina Ong-Cruz, Director of Commercial Development, together with Melinda Medina, Director of Sales, and Kathleen Atienza, Senior Sales Manager.

“At NUSTAR, we believe meaningful business relationships are built through memorable experiences. Initiatives such as Canvas & Connections reflect our commitment to engaging clients in more personal and impactful ways, while showcasing the distinctive hospitality and creativity that define the NUSTAR Signature Experience,” said Daniel Kipping, Vice President for Commercial Sales of NUSTAR Resort Cebu.

Beyond the canvas, the gathering demonstrated how experiential engagement can create a different kind of connection—one that moves beyond meetings and transactions to shared moments that clients can remember.

Through NUSTAR Signature Experience, the resort continues to strengthen relationships with corporate and MICE partners while reinforcing its positioning as a destination for meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions, and corporate gatherings.
