Bangkok, Thailand — PLX Asia, Southeast Asia’s first dedicated B2B platform for private label and contract manufacturing, made its industry debut during THAIFEX – Anuga Asia 2026 through the Industry Leadership Summit, ahead of its inaugural full-scale trade event in 2027.

Developed by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), the Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC), and Koelnmesse, the platform aims to connect retailers, manufacturers, and solution providers across Southeast Asia’s growing private label sector.

Positioned as a curated, business-driven ecosystem, PLX Asia seeks to address fragmentation in the region’s sourcing and manufacturing landscape while supporting innovation, speed-to-market, and long-term collaboration.

“Private label has evolved from a value alternative into a core growth driver for retailers worldwide,” said Mathias Kuepper, Managing Director and Regional President APAC of Koelnmesse Pte Ltd. “Southeast Asia is now reaching that inflection point, and PLX Asia is designed to help accelerate the region’s next phase of growth.”

The platform will cover both food and non-food categories including food and beverage, beauty and personal care, household products, pet care, packaging, branding, and product development.

Thailand’s competitive advantage in the Private Label industry extends beyond cost efficiency or production capacity, it lies in the trust and readiness of Thai manufacturers to respond to global market demands inon end-to-end manner particularly in OEM (original equipment manufacturer) and ODM (original design manufacturer) produciion,” said Dr. Poj Aramwattananont, Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce.

Held on May 29 during THAIFEX – Anuga Asia 2026, the Industry Leadership Summit gathered more than 200 senior decision-makers from retail, manufacturing, packaging, and investment sectors across the region. Supported by the Thailand Retailer Association, the summit also featured Daymon as Official Knowledge Partner.

Thailand’s strong OEM and ODM manufacturing capabilities, coupled with its growing modern retail sector, position the country as a key hub for private label production and sourcing in Southeast Asia.

PLX Asia’s standalone trade exhibition is slated for 2027, with ambitions to become the region’s leading hub for private label innovation, sourcing, and strategic partnerships.
