Hyatt Regency Manila, City of Dreams has been named among Asia’s Top 10 Best Family Hotels in Smart Travel Asia’s 2026 Best in Travel Poll, placing eighth in the regional publication’s annual reader-voted list.
The recognition marks a two-place improvement from the hotel’s No. 10 ranking in 2025 and its second consecutive appearance on the Hong Kong-based publication’s list.
Conducted from June to late August, the 2026 poll highlighted safety, service and value as key considerations among travelers. Child-friendly resorts were cited by 60 percent of respondents as an area of interest, underscoring the continued appeal of destinations that cater to families.
“Service is at the heart of brand recognition and recall,” said Smart Travel Asia Editor and Founder Vijay Verghese, emphasizing the role of hospitality professionals in shaping guests’ experiences and perceptions of a hotel.
Established in 2003, Smart Travel Asia has conducted its annual Best in Travel Poll since 2005, with readers voting for their preferred hotels, destinations, airlines and airports across Asia and beyond.
Family experiences at DreamPlay
A key family attraction within City of Dreams Manila is DreamPlay, the world’s first DreamWorks-inspired indoor family entertainment center. The 5,000-square-meter facility features 12 interactive attractions inspired by popular DreamWorks Animation characters, including Shrek, Princess Fiona, Po, Tigress, Alex the Lion, Puss in Boots and the Trolls.
DreamPlay combines interactive play, digital technology and hands-on activities that bring DreamWorks stories to life. It operates Wednesday to Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with tickets available for participants as well as accompanying parents and guardians.
Families can also dine at Chez Gingy, DreamPlay’s in-house café, which serves American, Italian and Asian favorites, including pizza, pasta, noodles and desserts. The DreamPlay Shop offers DreamWorks-themed toys and merchandise.
Space for families
Hyatt Regency Manila offers 364 contemporary rooms and suites, complemented by family-friendly amenities and services including 24-hour in-room dining and complimentary minibars stocked with selected snacks and canned beverages.
Guests staying in Club Rooms and Suites have access to the seventh-floor Regency Club, which offers complimentary breakfast, all-day refreshments and evening cocktails, together with panoramic city views.
For larger and multi-generational families, the 114-square-meter two-bedroom Executive Suite provides separate sleeping areas while allowing families to stay together. The 86-square-meter Hyatt Pool Villa features a king bedroom, separate living area, entrance foyer and powder room, with floor-to-ceiling windows and direct proximity to the swimming pool.
The hotel’s 200-square-meter outdoor pool also includes a separate 10-square-meter heated whirlpool and a children’s pool, providing another space for families to spend time together.
Dining, shopping and leisure
Families have more than 20 restaurants and dining outlets across City of Dreams Manila to choose from. At Hyatt Regency Manila, The Café serves breakfast, lunch and dinner from its interactive show kitchens. Children five years old and below dine free, while those aged six to 12 receive a 50-percent discount on the buffet rate.
Other dining options across the integrated resort include Crystal Dragon and Haliya at Nüwa Manila, and Nobu Manila, which serves Chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s signature New Style Japanese cuisine and its Nobu Sunday Brunch.
For shopping, The Shoppes at the Boulevard features a selection of fashion, accessories, eyewear, sportswear, electronics and other retail offerings, alongside a range of dining outlets.
Adults can also access the property’s wellness and entertainment facilities, including the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rated Nüwa Spa and Nobu Spa, while CenterPlay offers live entertainment.
