Clark, Pampanga — SMX Convention Center Clark (SMX Clark) the premier convention venue under SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation (SMHCC), emerged as one of the top awardees at the Tourism Recognition for Enterprises and Stakeholders (TRES) Awards 2025 organized by the Department of Tourism Region 3.
SMX Clark was named Grand Winner in the Tourism Quality Awards for both MICE Event Venue and MICE Meeting Room, reaffirming its position as a benchmark for excellence in the meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) industry. It also received a Special Citation for MICE Exhibition Venue, further strengthening its reputation as a preferred destination for large-scale gatherings in Central Luzon.
The TRES Awards recognize enterprises and stakeholders that help raise the standards of tourism and hospitality across the region. This latest achievement marks the third consecutive year that SMX Convention Center Clark has been honored by DOT Region 3, underscoring its sustained excellence and consistent delivery of high-quality event experiences.
Since opening in 2022, the venue has continued to set benchmarks in service, facilities, and event execution, earning the confidence of both local and international organizers.

“As Central Luzon strengthens its position as a key hub for business events, SMX Convention Center Clark remains at the forefront, committed to providing world-class spaces and curated experiences that drive progress and foster purposeful connections,” said Walid Wafik, Senior Vice President for Operations of SMHCC.
He added that SMX is further expanding its regional footprint with the launch of SMX Trade Hall Cabanatuan in the fourth quarter of 2026. The new venue will join its established sites in Clark and Olongapo, enhancing SMX’s capacity to host more high-impact, large-scale events across Central Luzon.
