Raffles and Fairmont Makati proudly announces the appointment of Fergus Mac Devitt as its new Hotel Manager, joining the leadership team under Cluster General Manager Bernd Schneider.

Fergus brings over 20 years of global hospitality experience across Europe and Asia, with a strong background in operations, team leadership, and guest experience innovation. His career began in Dublin and Berlin, followed by key leadership roles within Swissôtel and Fairmont properties in Germany, China, Japan, and Singapore.

He has held senior posts at Swissôtel Nankai Osaka, Pullman Tokyo Tamachi, and Castlemartyr Resort in Ireland, where he led the launch of Terre, a fine-dining restaurant awarded two Michelin stars.

Most recently, Fergus served as Hotel Manager at Fairmont St Andrews in Scotland, where he achieved record-breaking results in revenue, profitability, and guest satisfaction.

Having spent much of his career within Accor, Fergus brings a deep understanding of the Fairmont and Raffles brands, positioning him to further strengthen Raffles and Fairmont Makati’s reputation for luxury, excellence, and Filipino warmth.

Now based in Manila, Fergus aims to lead the property into a new era that balances timeless elegance with modern relevance, enhancing its role as one of the city’s most distinguished cultural and business landmarks.
