BANGKOK — Thailand is reinforcing its position as a regional powerhouse in hospitality and food service with the opening of THAIFEX – HOREC ASIA 2026, a major trade show bringing together global players across the hotel, restaurant, café, and catering (HoReCa) sectors.

Held at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani in Bangkok, the three-day event showcases innovations, products, and services shaping the future of the industry while generating an estimated US$110 million in trade opportunities and drawing more than 20,000 trade visitors worldwide.

The event was officially opened by Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister of Thailand, who highlighted the platform’s role in strengthening international collaboration and business opportunities within the hospitality and food service industries.

“THAIFEX – HOREC ASIA serves as an international trade platform that enables entrepreneurs, investors, and buyers from across the globe to connect, exchange knowledge, and transform opportunities into tangible business outcomes while shaping the future of the HoReCa industry,” he said during the opening ceremony.

Organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion under Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce, in partnership with the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Germany-based Koelnmesse, the exhibition runs from March 11–13 at Challenger Halls 1–2.

The 2026 edition is the largest to date, featuring nearly 700 exhibitors from 35 countries across more than 35,000 square metres of exhibition space. The show highlights nine key product categories: Bakery & Ice-Cream, Café & Bar, Cleaning & Laundry, Dining, Furnishing, Kitchen, Services, Tech, and Wellness, alongside a dedicated HoReCa Food zone.

Organizers say the event’s continued growth reflects Thailand’s expanding influence in the global hospitality sector. Beyond products and services, the country’s strengths include its rich culinary culture, creative design, lifestyle appeal, and the globally recognised spirit of Thai hospitality—key drivers of economic value and international trade opportunities.

The programme also features several industry highlights, including the THAIFEX – HOREC Xperiential Zone, THAIFEX – HOREC Academy knowledge sessions, and the THAIFEX – HOREC Innovation Awards.

Competitions and demonstrations further enrich the event, including the Thailand Ultimate Housekeeping Challenge, the ASEAN Coffee Roasting Championship, and ACF Coffee Appreciation Protocol training sessions for café operators and baristas.
