Megaworld Hotels & Resorts, the hospitality arm of Megaworld Corporation, has partnered with Accor to rebrand the 1,530-room Grand Westside Hotel into Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside, set to become the largest Mövenpick hotel in the world. The collaboration includes full brand alignment, systems integration, and operational upgrades. Completion of all the rooms is targeted end-2026.
“Our partnership with Megaworld represents an important step in strengthening Accor’s footprint in the Philippines, a market that continues to demonstrate strong momentum in both international and domestic travel. Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside will stand as a flagship for our premium portfolio, supported by Accor’s global network and the reach of ALL Accor, which together help drive visibility and demand across key markets. We are proud to collaborate with Megaworld on a project that will contribute meaningfully to the Philippines’ tourism growth,” said Garth Simmons, Chief Operating Officer, Premium, Midscale, and Economy Division for Accor in Asia.
Located within Megaworld’s 31-hectare Westside City township in Parañaque, the two-tower hotel will be directly connected to the upcoming Westside City casino and entertainment complex and the country’s first Grand Opera House. Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside will feature four specialty dining outlets and an expansive pool deck with views of Manila Bay.
Accor’s global network and the reach of its ALL loyalty program are expected to boost the property’s international visibility. This marks the second partnership between Megaworld and Accor, following the rebranding of Belmont Hotel Mactan into Mercure Mactan Cebu.
‘The opening of the world’s largest Mövenpick is a powerful testament to our group’s efforts to scale our world-class offerings and meet the demands of the broader international market,” stated Cleofe Albiso, Managing Director of Megaworld Hotels & Resorts. “As we rebrand Grand Westside Hotel into the world’s largest Mövenpick, we continue to generate more jobs, drive stronger tourism activity, and open doors for communities to grow alongside this development,” she added.
