The menu will feature mouthwatering dishes such as Hurnong Talaba (baked oysters with mornay sauce garnished with gruyere and parmesan cheese), Binakol na Manok (chicken sautéed in ginger, garlic, onion, a hint of lemongrass with fresh coconut juice and meat), Ensaladang Pako (Fiddlehead fern salad with crispy Danggit), Tinumis (sautéd pork with fresh tomatoes and batuan puree), Eankoga (Akeanon’s version of Binigkit or Bilo-bilo), Inday-Inday (Palitaw with bukayo and coconut sauce on the side), and many more.
Chef Nicks Valmeo expressed his excitement for the event, stating, “These are the flavors that bring people together, and I am thrilled to showcase the iconic dishes of Aklan and the Visayas region.”
General Manager Den Navarro highlighted the importance of offering guests a taste of vacation even before they reach their destination, saying, “As the Philippines’ Leading Airport Hotel, serving Boracay Island’s beloved dishes at our Savoy Café is a way to provide our guests with a unique culinary experience.”
The event would not have been possible without the support of GM Maia Israel and her team at Savoy Hotel Boracay Newcoast.
