Swiss-Belhotel International, a leading global hotel management company, has announced its strategic expansion in the Southeast Asian region, with a specific focus on the Philippines. The company aims to create partnerships with developers and property owners who are interested in providing world-class hospitality to both local and foreign tourists
According to Swiss-Belhotel International Chairman and President Gavin Faull, the company currently has a hundred projects planned to be added in the next five years to the 135 hotels and projects in its portfolio. “We see a huge potential in the Philippines with its beaches, its islands, and its people. It’s geographically similar to Thailand in terms of location from China, Europe, and Asia.”
Garry Garcia, Regional Director for Operations and Development of Swiss-Belhotel International – Philippines, said their upcoming projects are aimed at secondary cities due to the fact that local government units are wanting to have their own tourist destination. “We believe the growth is there and we are creating partnerships with property owners and developers in these secondary cities who would like to enter the hospitality industry with the value that Swiss-Belhotel International is offering.”
Garcia mentioned that cities like Dumaguete, General Santos, Bataan, and Pampanga are some of the key areas where the company plans to expand its portfolio.
