Chef Mattia Stroppa and Chef Rhea Rizzo unite for a spectacular dining event at Okada Manila

The Forbes 5-star integrated resort, Okada Manila, is hosting a collaborative culinary event featuring the expertise of La Piazza Ristorante Italiano’s Chef Mattia Stroppa and Mrs. Saldo’s Chef Rhea Rizzo. These two passionate chefs, known for their distinct culinary styles, will come together to showcase their creations on May 15 and 16, 2024.

Originally from Brescia, Italy, Chef Mattia has traveled the world refining his culinary art. Today, he serves as the chef de cuisine of Okada Manila’s signature Italian restaurant, La Piazza Ristorante Italiano. Chef Rhea is a Filipino chef with a deep love for Asian cuisine, as evidenced by the popular dishes at her restaurant, Mrs. Saldo’s, in Silang, Cavite

Originally hailing from Brescia, Italy, Chef Mattia has honed his culinary expertise through globetrotting experiences. Currently he serves as the chef de cuisine at Okada Manila’s signature Italian restaurant, La Piazza Ristorante Italiano. On the other hand, Chef Rhea, a Filipino chef with a deep passion for Asian cuisine, showcases her talents at Mrs. Saldo’s in Silang, Cavite.

Two Chefs, Endless Creations

This event, aptly named “Double Delights,” features a four-hands dinner where the chefs combine their mastery of Italian and Asian cuisines. The multi-course menu is inspired by their personal histories and memories, promising an elaborate journey through flavors and cultures. Highlights include Chef Mattia’s casoncelli pasta, Chef Rhea’s rendition of the beloved bulalo, and a Thai-inspired premium Iberico pork dish.

Under the banner of “Double Delights,” this collaborative event will feature a four-hand dinner where the chefs merge their Italian and Asian culinary prowess. The multi-course menu, inspired by their personal journeys and memories, promises an exquisite voyage through flavors and cultures. Highlights include Chef Mattia’s casoncelli pasta, Chef Rhea’s take on the beloved bulalo, and a Thai-inspired premium Iberico pork dish.

This exclusive dinner will take place at La Piazza Ristorante Italiano on May 15 and 16, 2024, with tickets priced at PHP 3,888 nett per person.
