These new signings not only expand Ascott’s portfolio but also signify a strategic shift to include resort and cultural destinations in its management scope.

The first property, situated amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Siargao, marks a historic moment as it introduces Ascott’s esteemed Preference label to the Philippines for the first time.

“The debut of our Preference property in the Philippines is a testament to Ascott’s dedication to delivering exceptional experiences for our guests,” says Senior Business Development Manager Katrina Tordilla. “We are thrilled to unveil a property that showcases the natural beauty and heritage of Siargao while providing guests with bespoke service and curated amenities. Scheduled to open its doors in 2027, the 45-room development will feature beach and garden villas alongside lagoon hotel suites, catering to diverse accommodation preferences. Guests can anticipate a range of facilities, including a resort pool, eco-gym, wellness spa, all-day dining restaurant, beach bar, events hall, and lounge, promising a truly immersive tropical getaway.

The second property, Citadines Mactan Cebu, marks Ascott’s entry into Mactan Island, Cebu, a strategic hub for MICE and leisure activities. “We are excited to introduce Ascott’s signature hospitality to Mactan Island,” shares Tordilla. “With its strategic location and world-class amenities, Citadines Mactan Cebu is poised to redefine the island’s hospitality landscape.”
