Hotel Okura Co., Ltd. announced that its upcoming hotel in the Philippines called Hotel Okura Manila (tentative name) is among the hotel brands that will be introduced as part of Bayshore City Resorts World. In a press release, the company said it has signed an agreement to manage the hotel with Resort World Bayshore City, Inc., a subsidiary of Philippines-based Travellers International Hotel Group Inc.
The 380-room, 13-story hotel will occupy a total of 38,000 square meters and will highlight “state-of-the-art amenities and authentic Japanese hospitality.” There will be four meeting/banquet rooms, a spa, rooftop pool, and restaurants that include a Japanese outlet.
Hotel Okura will complement the entertainment offers of the new Resorts World, which will have an opera house, residential and commercial buildings, cinema, and convention facility.
Founded in 1958, the company opened its flagship hotel, Hotel Okura Tokyo, in 1962. It manages Okura Hotels and Resorts, a network of 25 properties around the world, while its subsidiary, JAL Hotels Co., Ltd., operates Nikko Hotels International and Hotel JAL City, a combined total of 47 hotels. Hotel Okura Co., Ltd. wants to expand its portfolio to 100 properties worldwide as the first stage of its expansion, with a focus on Asia.
