Annual three-day trade expo brings in international speakers and presents opportunities for hospitality stakeholders

Hotel Suppliers Show, considered the Philippines’ biggest hospitality trade fair, will take place on September 21 to 23, 2017 at the SMX Convention Centre Manila, Mall of Asia Complex. The show is now on its 8th year and is set to feature even more of the industry’s leading manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers looking to meet buyers and distributors in the Philippines’ growing market of hotels, restaurants, and resorts.

“We’re very excited to hold the eight year of the show,” says Patrick-Lawrence Tan, Chief Executive Officer, Global-Link Exhibitions Specialist. Inc. “Since we launched it in 2010, this has slowly but surely gained a reputation as an ideal platform for hospitality operators to source quality products from leading suppliers and network with some of the top industry players in the country. Building on the success of previous years, we are looking forward to presenting fresh programming and new developments from the product and service sectors for hospitality.”

The Hotel Suppliers Show is organized by Global-Link Exhibitions Specialist, Inc. in partnership with the Chamber of Furniture Industries of the Philippines (CFIP) and is a must for hotel and restaurant operators, property developers, specialists in retail, F&B and spa, as well as architects and designers seeking a dynamic showcase of the highest quality hospitality products, technology, and services.

Last year’s show gained outstanding feedback from both exhibitors and visitors. Over 7,755 square meters of exhibition space was packed with more than 250 participating companies. The show was attended by 7,500 trade buyers and visitors, breaking its own records in the previous years.

Five engaging symposiums will also be happening alongside the trade fair. This year, the highly influential trend forecaster Cécile Poignant, editor of Trend Tablet, will be presenting The Future of Travel and Hospitality exclusively to participants of the show. The report highlights major lifestyle trends that will shape travel for years to come. As a trend forecaster, Poignant has worked and consulted with many international brands including Nissan, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE, Philips, Estée Lauder, L’oréal, and Jacobs Douwe Egberts for market studies that have influenced their strategic product developments and innovation processes. When she is not travelling the world to speak at international conferences in front of experienced professionals, Poignant teaches Innovation at Parsons Paris, and Trend Forecasting at ESCP Europe and Institut Français de la Mode (IFM) Paris.

Happening at the same time will be the National Building and Property Management Summit, a conference for business and trade professionals from the property and construction sector; the World Hospitality Market featuring Mr. Matteo Grigolini, an Italian hospitality market expert, will tackle the latest trends in the furniture and furnishing aspect of the industry; Management Essentials for Hotels and Resorts: Purchasing, Labor, and Finance by Y&S 1847 Hotel Investment and Development; and a Continuing Professional Development conference by the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers.

From the front desk to back of the house services, F&B to housekeeping, design and décor to technology, the all-encompassing event will feature a comprehensive showcase segmented into the three areas including Design & Décor Philippines, Food & Beverage Suppliers Show and Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment Philippines. This event is sponsored by Hafele Philippines, Inc. and Harle Philippines, Inc.
