The induction of Organization of Hotel Sales and Marketing Professionals was held June 16, 2017 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom.

Margie Munsayac, outgoing HSMA president mentioned in her final speech, “We have so many equally capable people ready and willing to serve and catapult HSMA to reach greater heights. It is time for us to push aside obstacles, roll up our sleeves and get ready.”

On the other hand, incoming HSMA president, Christine Urbanozo-Ibarreta of Golden Phoenix Hotel Manila mentioned “The Chinese used two brush strokes to write the word crisis. One brush stroke stands for danger and the other for opportunity. In a crisis, we are aware of the danger but we recognize the opportunity.” sharing the knowledge shared to her by her previous boss, Resorts World Manila President, Mr. Kingson Sian.

The new set of HSMA Board of Directors are: President – Christine Ibarretta (Golden Phoenix Hotel); Vice President – Joy de Mesa (Novotel Araneta Center); Secretary – Loleth So (Peninsula Manila);  Treasurer – Rene Lapid (Hotel Fleuris Palawan Palawan & Hotel Sofia Boracay); Education – Mike Albaña (Conrad Manila); Program – Cristy Carreon (Marriott Manila); and Ways & Means – Jona Agrazada (Island Cove & Leisure Park).
