ASEAN continues its advocacy of recognizing hotels and resorts adopting environmentally — friendly principles by holding its 5th ASEAN Green Hotel Award in Manila.
The 10 winners from the Philippines are: Amarela Resort, Panglao, Bohol; Amorita Resort, Panglao, Bohol; Baguio Country Club, Baguio City; Bluewater Maribago Beach Resort, Cebu; Crimson Resort and Spa, Mactan, Cebu; Daluyon Beach and Mountain Resort, Puerto Princesa, Palawan; Fundacion Pacita Batanes Nature Lodge in Basco, Batanes; Pearl Farm in Davao del Norte; Bellevue Resort, Panglao, Bohol; and The Manor at Camp John Hay in Baguio City.
Other winning hotels and resorts from the rest of ASEAN are : Brunei Darussalam with 1, Cambodia with 10, Indonesia with 10, Lao PDR with 10, Malaysia with 10. Myanmar with 8, Singapore with 10, Thailand with 10, and Vietnam with 10.
All winners are awarded with a Plaque and a Certificate of ASEAN Green Hotel Award valid for three years.
The first ASEAN Green Hotel Award was held in Thailand in 2008, followed by Brunei Darussalam in 2010, Indonesia in 2012, and Malaysia in 2014.
