Butler school, ASHA to conduct 1-day training program in Manila

Josephine Ive, the director and principal trainer of Magnums Butlers International will be here on May 19 to deliver a 7-star service for butlers course in partnership with ASHA.

Aspiring hotel service personnel and those looking to reinforce their service skills will get a chance to attend an exclusive one-day butler training program from the world’s most esteemed butler service academy. Asian School of Hospitality Arts (ASHA) is partnering with the Asia Butler Academy to sponsor an introductory course on 7-Star Service for Butlers on May 19 at C3 Events Place in Greenhills.

The Asia Butler Academy is under Magnums Butlers International (MBI), a school founded in 1987. It has trained private and hotel butlers and super yacht steward and stewardesses for top properties such as The Venetian Macau, Genting Highlands in Malaysia, Dusit Thani in Maldives, The Westin Dubai, and Hilton Worldwide.

Topics to be discussed will include basic courtesy such as how to address VIPs and royalty, how to make a good first impression and how to seat guests as well as more specialized topics like offering quality cigars and opening champagne bottles with style.

The one-day training will be conducted by Josephine Ive, MBI’s director and principal trainer, considered as the first female butler in the U.K. and who provided excellent butler service to the British Royal Family and British High Court judges.

The 7-Star Service for Butlers Introductory Course will be held at the C3 Events Place, 18 Missouri St., Northeast Greenhills, San Juan on May 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Training fee is at P3,500 inclusive of certificate, lunch, and a.m. and p.m. snacks.
