Landers Superstore launches its Ice Cream Festival, to affirm the success of its past event in showcasing their ice cream line-up, including exclusive imported brands like Blue Bell, Haagen Dazs, Baskin Robbins, Skittles, Milka, Binggrae, among others, and local brands like Magnolia Gold Label and Carmen’s Best.

“We are super excited to kick off this Lander’s Ice Cream Festival along with our summer festival. It is not just about ice cream; we also have over 150 brand new items in our health and beauty section sourced from America. We’ve also got 50 new items  for pet lovers that just arrived from America. While we know ice cream is a highlight, our team has traveled around the world to bring back the most exciting flavors, as well as sourcing the best products available in the Philippines,” shared Bill Cummings, Deputy CEO of Landers Superstore Philippines.

The ice cream promotions are now available at 14 Landers club stores in the Philippines. The 50 exclusive ice cream brands at Landers are currently on sale for 40% off, including popular options like the Japanese brand Meiji Matcha, while Magnolia Gold Label has buy 1 gallon, take 1 pint. This promotion will run from April to May 4. Additionally, Landers will be offering discounts of up to 50% off on selected items.

As part of the ice cream festival, customers who purchase ice cream will have the opportunity to enter a raffle draw. Prizes include a brand-new Toyota Corolla Cross, P100,000 worth of gift cards for one lucky member, and P10,000 worth of Landers gift cards for ten lucky winners.

“Every month, we create a marketing calendar for our products that we aim to surpass. Currently, our focus is on summer products, while last month we highlighted a European festival theme. This cycle continues each month with a new theme and corresponding products. It can be challenging to restock quick-selling items, as wholesalers may purchase them in large quantities, making it difficult for us to keep up at times. To address this, we sometimes place limits on the quantity that can be purchased. Our highly anticipated Super Crazy Sale occur quarterly, and we announce them at least a week in advance,” said Cummings in an interview with Hospitality News PH.

Looking ahead

Two new Landers stores are set to open this month – one in Vermosa, Cavite, and another in Aseana, Paranaque in July, to cater to the large client base in the South. Additionally, Landers will be launching its own brand, “Selection by Landers,” in July. This brand will offer a range of products across different categories, including food, non-food, and fresh items, all with a focus on simplicity and quality.

When asked about sustainability, Cummins revealed that it is a core practice in their purchasing process, and they are currently in the process of installing solar panels on the roofs of most of their stores. While he acknowledged that solar power can be expensive, Cummins emphasized that it is the right thing to do for the environment.

Landers’ Ice Cream Festival is now available until May 4, 2025 at all 10 stores in Metro Manila, as well as 4 stores in the Visayas and Mindanao. To enter the raffle draw, members must make a minimum purchase of P4,000 in-store or online, with at least P1,000 spent on participating ice cream brands to earn one raffle entry.
