Department of Tourism Assistant Secretary Rica Bueno led the induction of The Association of Human Resources Managers (AHRM) new set of officers following a membership meeting last March 23 at the New World Makati.

Savoy Manila Hotel’s Greg de Garriz took his oath as President for calendar year 2023. Also sworn in were Vice President Divine delos Reyes of Megaworld Hotels & Resorts, Secretary Dean Angie Blanco of CCA Manila, Treasurer Valeria Zubia of Eastwood Richmonde Hotel, PRO AJ Dela Fuente of Robinsons Group of Hotels, Auditor Jeff dela Paz of Diamond Hotel Philippines, and Director Judith Imperial of Lyceum of the Philippines Manila.

In the presence of guests, GM Nantha Kumar and all the AHRM’s past presidents,  De Garriz said that the association needs to evolve to make it more current and forward looking. “We need to reformat things that we were previously doing. To reinvent AHRM is to evolve and adapt to the times to make it more attractive and relevant to “The Now and Next Generation” Gen X, Gen Zs (iGens), Gen A (Alpha) and Gen B (Beta) and to show that we are more than a networking organization,” De Garriz stated.

De Garriz also unveiled the new AHRM logo with 3 figures of people with interlocking arms that represent the core values and mission of the organization, its stability, growth and sustainability, emphasizing the AHRM’s commitment to helping its members and individuals thrive.

New programs for the year were also introduced including an additional category (Mabuhay HR Leader of the Year) for the 26th Mabuhay Awards which will be held on November 27 at the new Westin Manila. (Divine M. Recio)
