Hilton Manila welcomes new executive chef

Hilton Manila announces the appointment of Benoit Chargy as the hotel’s new Executive Chef. A French national with over 27 years of experience in the culinary industry, Chef Benoit will oversee the hotel’s entire food and beverage operation including its three highly-acclaimed dining destinations: Kusina Sea Kitchens, Hua Yuan-Brasserie Chinoise, and Madison Lounge & Bar.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have Chef Benoit join us at Hilton Manila. His renowned expertise, strong sense of leadership and unmatched dedication to his craft will play a pivotal role as we aim to take our food and beverage operations to new heights,” said Simon McGrath, General Manager of Hilton Manila.

Chef Benoit started his illustrious career in the world of pastry at the infamous “Patisserie Grodenier”, a prestigious Michelin Star and Compagnon du Tour de France establishment in Cannes. He then worked his way up through the ranks by consistently working in the kitchens of award-winning five-star properties and prestigious restaurants where he racked up several notable accolades such as “Best Pastry Chef in the Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards (HAPA)” and “Taste of Waldorf” 2016 winner in New York among others.

“I’m excited to continue my culinary journey at Hilton Manila. My appointment into my new role couldn’t be more timely, as I join a team of passionate hospitality professionals that are gearing up to restart an already reputable property amidst these unprecedented times. I look forward to enhancing the hotel’s already impressive dining offerings and create more memorable moments for our guests,” said Chef Benoit.

Prior to joining Hilton Manila, Chef Benoit spent two years elevating the culinary experience of the famed Conrad Bali and has been with the Hilton Group for nearly two decades with significant stints in Jakarta, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur, and the Waldorf Astoria Beijing.
