December 18, 2018, Clark, Pampanga – Midori Clark Hotel and Casino’s Angels’ Dream provided the silver lining to this holiday season for the school children of Sapang Bato and six barangays of Clark, Pampanga.

On its third year, Angels’ Dream, Midori’s corporate social responsibility project, granted 800 Christmas wishes to the Aetas children during the gift giving ceremony this morning.

Over a month ago some of these 800 kids were invited to the hotel to hang their wishes and gifts they would want to receive this Christmas. These are the school children of Sapang Bato Elementary School, Macapagal Elementary School, Monicayo Elementary School, Marcos Village, Calapi Negrito Elementary, Systems Plus College Foundation, Haduan Negrito Elementary, and Sitio Target.

Today was the culmination with the giving of gifts in a simple ceremony.

Midori Hotel General Manager Vic Chan expressed his warm welcome and gratitude to all the guests who attended and sponsored the event.

“Once again, we are gathered here today for our gift giving of the Angels’ Dream charity project and through this project we would be able to share our presents to 800 children. I am thankful to all the people who supported us since we started in 2016. Next year, we are looking at a thousand wishes to come true. Help us reach the target.”

Angels’ Dream is the corporate social responsibility program of Midori Clark Hotel and Casino. Launched in 2016, the program started by granting the wishes of about 300 Aeta kids. The gifts and dreams were fulfilled by the heaven-sent or the Midori Clark community, top management and sponsors.

During today’s distribution, Jumong Rogando, a student from Sapang Bato Elementary School, shared his experience and delivered his gratitude speech.

(We are wholeheartedly grateful to the graces that you have given us. Our hearts are overflowing with joy because God has given you to us. From us children of Aetas, thank you very much.)

In closing the event, Darlene Achumbre, Asst. Sales and Marketing Manager, recalled their initial joy during the first year, “We wanted to grant a child’s wish to make them remember when they grow old. Our eyes were filled with tears of joy when we saw the first 300 kids jumping with joy upon receiving their toys, clothes, slippers, school supplies, even groceries. Those smiles were priceless. It gave us more inspiration to continue the project.”

The event was spiced with the Christmas carol sung by Systems Plus College Foundation chorale, the Midori Hotel dancer, and the appearance of Santa Claus and the Midori Hotel mascots.
