Diamond Hotel Philippines’ culinary team won big in the recently concluded Philippine Culinary Cup 2018 at the Word Food Expo in Pasay City. Bagging ten (10) silver and five (5) bronze medals, the hotel chefs have once again proven their exceptional skills in the culinary field, impressing the esteemed board of judges of this year’s prestigious competition.
According to the hotel’s Executive Sous Chef Melchor Taylo, “The team’s commitment in creating a winning taste is backed up with the right attitude and endless practice to perfection. We came here ready for the battle and we are more than grateful we left with victory. He also added, “It takes discipline to hone one’s craft and it entails passion to master one’s skill. But one should not forget to top off the hard work with a little bit of fun.”

Diamond Hotel’s culinary cup winners are: Melchor Taylo, Deo De Guzman, Mon Luyao and Hans Lagoy who triumphed silver in the Dream Team Challenge; Darwin Jake Radan gained triple silver awards for Filipino Cuisine Challenge, Young Chefs Team Challenge and Creative Breakfast Challenge; Apple Baldorado won silver for Young Chefs Team Challenge; Anthony Seco received back-to-back awards winning silver for Filipino Cuisine Challenge and bronze for US Pork; Ryan Rosas placed silver for Filipino Cuisine Challenge and bronze for Local Fish or Seafood; Ramon Quilon received a bronze medal for US Pork; while Dexter Sanchez for Local Fish or Seafood.
