Alliance Global appoints Kevin Tan as CEO

Alliance Global Group, Inc. (AGI), owner of Resorts World Manila, has appointed Kevin Tan as the conglomerate’s chief executive officer replacing his father, Andrew Tan.

“Kevin’s vast exposure and professional experience in the various companies under Alliance Global Group for almost two decades brings him to the pedestal of this new leadership role,” Andrew Tan, chairman of AGI, said in a statement.

Kevin Tan, 38, is one of the country’s youngest tycoons.

“It is time for the younger generation to take the leadership role,” said the elder Tan, who will remain as conglomerate’s chairman of the board.

As the new CEO, Kevin plans to implement programs and business strategies to further expand the company’s growth into becoming one of the most diversified conglomerate in the country.

Prior to this appointment, Kevin has been the executive director since September 2016, handling various projects and representing his father on social and business functions.  He also hold directorships in other AGI companies: Emperador, Inc., Global-Estate Resorts, Inc., Empire East Land Holdings, Inc., and Golden Arches Development Corporation, the holder of the master franchise of McDonald’s Philippines.

Its hotel and leisure business, Travellers International Hotel Group, owns the 3 existing hotels in Newport City namely Marriott, Maxims and Remington with three more brands coming up — Hilton Manila, Sheraton Manila, and Hotel Okura.
