Maxims to be rebranded as Ritz-Carlton

Alliance Global CEO, Andrew Tan, is bringing in the first Ritz-Carlton brand in the country by rebranding Resorts World Manila’s Maxims Hotel according to a report in The Philippine Star.

The paper’s sources said that Mr. Tan imparted that it is the right time for the luxury hotel brand to enter the market as a result of the country’s improving economic status.

The rebranding is expected to happen in the next three years.

Maxims, a 172 all-suite hotel in the integrated resort complex, is owned by Travellers International Hotel Group Inc. a joint venture between Alliance Global Incorporated and Genting Hong Kong Limited.

On the other hand, the Ritz-Carlton brand is part of the Marriott International chain under the luxury brand. Being a leading global lodging company, Marriott has more than 6,000 properties in 122 countries and territories managing more than 30 brands in its portfolio.
