COD Manila celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival

As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, luxury integrated resort City of Dreams Manila celebrates a prosperous and bountiful season with its mooncake offerings available from September 1 to October 4 at Crystal Dragon, a contemporary Chinese restaurant which offers premium Cantonese and regional Chinese specialties; and Café Society, a gourmet café with a selection of pastries, quick gourmet sandwiches, and hot and cold brews.

City of Dreams Manila’s premium mooncake package filled with white lotus paste and double egg yolk is priced at P3,988 net for a box of four. A traditional delicacy served during the Mid-Autumn festival, the mooncake’s round shape represents a family or community in unity and harmony.

The Mid-Autumn Festival is the second grandest occasion in China following Chinese New Year. Family and friends gather to pay homage and offer sacrifices to the moon, believed to equate a bountiful harvest for the coming season. The mooncake serves as the holiday’s symbol, meant to wish others happiness and longevity.

To order, interested parties may call Crystal Dragon or Café Society at 800 8080, email guestservices@cod-manila.com, or visit City of Dreams Manila’s website www.cityofdreamsmanila.com.
