Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo graces Hotel 101 Manila opening

FullSizeRender-2Hotel 101 Manila, the newest hotel brand in the Philippines, had Tourism Secretary Wanda Corazon Tulfo Teo as guest of honor in a simple ceremony attended by corporate, travel trade, and media guests last night.

 

“We must thank you in helping fulfill the vision of 5,000 rooms. We hope you will build more in the next three years,” Secretary Teo said in her opening remarks.

 

The hotel has 518 standard rooms with a queen bed and single bed set-up, offering ample space and comfortable accommodation.

 

“We envision Hotel 101 to be one of the most relevant hotel brands in the Philippines. The Hotel 101-Manila will be one of the most significant projects among our future portfolio of hotel and resorts in different parts of the country,“ Edgar “Injap” Sia II, chairman of Hotel of Asia Inc., the hotel’s owning company.

 

While Hotel 101 is a homegrown brand and the flagship of Hotel of Asia, the company has also entered into a franchise agreement for the JinJiang Inn brand from Jin Jiang International, the largest hospitality conglomerate in China, and 5th largest in the world. Hotel of Asia presently stands at four properties —Injap Tower Hotel in Iloilo, and JinJiang Inn Ortigas and Makati.

 

On the other hand, Lei Policarpio,  Hotel 101 Manila general manager , revealed that there are three other projects in their pipeline—BGC (Hotel 101), two in Boracay (Jinjiang and Hotel 101) and a recently signed development in Cavite. “We are targeting a total inventory of 5,000 rooms by year 2020 and as we launch Hotel 101 and our future projects, we hope to be able to build fruitful partnerships with each and everyone one of you.”
