Dusit International is preparing to launch Guam’s first newly built resort since 1999, the Dusit Thani Guam Resort.
The new resort is expected to boost the image of Guam — a destination frequented by Filipinos — in the luxury and MICE market.
Situated on pristine Tumon Bay, the 419-key resort is the tallest building on the island, standing tall at 30 floors, and is the only one to be classified in the luxury category.
The resort will host its highly anticipated soft opening this month with approximately half its inventory of 419 deluxe rooms and suites with ocean views. The resort also boasts six villa suites, each with their own private plunge pools, exclusive gym and concierge service. One of these spectacular villas, Villa Azul, has a 550 sqm balcony perfectly suited for outdoor entertaining.
Dusit Thani Guam Resort will also be home of the Guam Convention Center. Measuring approximately 1,169 sqm, it is the largest convention space on the island and can host up to 2,000 guests for social events, exhibitions or meetings of any size.
The resort will also house a Devarana Spa, Dusit’s signature spa concept. Set to fully launch by the resort’s grand opening later this year, residents and resort guests can indulge in the island’s only hydrothermal therapy treatment area or choose any one of the spa’s Thai-inspired massage and wellness programs.
Meanwhile, four dining venues will bring the best of Thai, Italian, international, and seafood cuisine styles to the island, and each restaurant is perfectly situated in order to offer beautiful, panoramic views of the bay for guests to take in while they dine.
