New World Makati Hotel has collaborated with the Embassy of Canada and the Canada Beef International Institute in a hotel-wide beef promotion throughout the month of July.
As one of Canada Beef International Institute’s first partners in the local HORECA sector, the promotion will throw the spotlight on the Canadian meat product that is gradually entering the retail and b2b market in the Philippines.
Executive chef Robert Davis and guest chef Sandy Daza kicked off the promotion on June 8 with a guide to choosing and cooking Canadian beef and a dining preview for guests. Daza did a signature roasted rib eye from grain-fed cattle, with the flavors, tenderness, and nutritional content of a prime-grade Canadian beef.
The hotel invites guests to visit Cafe 1228 in July to sample beef from Canada. The Chinese restaurant, Jasmine, will also highlight a la carte offerings of Canadian beef creations, while a special Canadian Monster Beef Burger will be available through room service for guests.
