Waterfront Hotels and Casinos announced the group’s adoption of PressReader, an application that will allow its guests to access popular international and local publications.
Starting in April, all of Waterfront’s properties will join a list of few hotels in the country that have turned to paperless newspaper and magazine to offer to guests. Digital newspapers will only be an option, however, and Waterfront will still offer hard copy newspapers, clarified Jennylyn Hipolito-Martin, marketing communications officer of Manila Pavilion Hotel.
With PressReader, guests of the hotel group will gain free access to magazines and newspapers like Time, Elle, Vogue, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, and Toronto Star through the app. The PressReader app can be downloaded to smartphones, tablets and eReaders.
“This is giving more premium to our services by giving them the convenience of being up-to-date with not only the latest news on current events but on other interests as well such as fashion, gardening, technology, etc. a wide array of categories for their reading pleasure,” says Maria Socorro Cotelo, corporate planning director of the group.
Waterfront currently has four properties, namely Manila Pavilion Hotel, Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino, Waterfront Airport Hotel & Casino Mactan, and Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao. G Hotel in Manila closed in November last year.
